Description
Mosaic is a traditional craft that has been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial, based on techniques that have undergone no substantial transformations and materials that have largely remained the same.
A timelessly fascinating art, mosaic places Monreale among the great must-visit destinations.
In the shadow of such splendor, 46 years ago, Giosuè Cangemi’s workshop was established along the tourist route of Via Torres, leading to the Monumental Complex.
For about 20 years, the “Master in Mosaic” program has been open to beginners, artists, designers, architects, and anyone wishing to acquire all the secrets of mosaic art.
Immersion in the workshop environment allows students to be in close contact with visitors and enthusiasts of mosaic craftsmanship.
The MASTER IN MOSAIC is divided into different sections and duration levels. All Master programs are individual or with a maximum of two students per course.
For all Master courses, students will receive:
• A certificate of participation
• A 950g steel hammer with a handle
• A 500g steel chisel
• Steel tweezers
• A DVD on mosaic art
Students will have the opportunity to use all the workshop materials for their work, including stoneware, marble, enamels, and gold leaf.
All mosaics created during the courses will remain the property of the student.
