Description
Practical etching engraving workshop. Discover the ancient engraving technique that even the great masters of the past embraced! The course begins with an introduction to the ancient technique, including some historical and biographical notes, followed by hands-on etching of an original plate. Equipped with the necessary materials (copper, gouges, needles, magnifying glasses), participants will create their own engraving on metal, which will then be immersed in acid (known in ancient times as “aquaforte”). After the necessary time for the acid to etch only the engraved areas, each image will be printed onto cotton paper, which the participant will take home once it is completed. In the case of large groups or limited time, we will ensure that all images are printed, and participants can collect them later in our studio during the day.
