Etching Technique Guided Tours and Demonstrations

Dive into the world of etching and discover the ancient secrets of original art printing; once used to illustrate books, now developed as an artistic and decorative element.
The guided tour in our workshop takes place in two parts. The first is a historical introduction to the ancient etching technique, presented in Italian or English, supported by original prints from the 17th to the 19th century (original illustrations from an old Bible, images from the first French Encyclopédie, portraits of famous figures, and landscapes).
In the second part, we move to the back workshop where a live demonstration of copperplate printing of one of our etchings is given using the etching press.
