SCUOLA DI SCAGLIOLA

The course includes a theoretical introduction and practical experimentation to acquire an initial level of training in the ancient artistic technique of scagliola, also known as stucco marble, artistic marble, and, more fantastically, the processing of moonstone.

The course offers:

• Creation of plaques and artifacts using the processes of drawing, inlay, casting, polishing, finishing, and final buffing.
• Historical overview of the technique and a visit to the collection of ancient pieces.

• Technique of working, materials, and their components.
• Preparation of mixtures and colored marbling.
