The exhibition “From A to B: artistic craftsmanship meets Alighiero Boetti”, curated by Franco Valli, opened on Tuesday 15 October at the Italian Cultural Institute in Miami. This is the project identified to celebrate Contemporary Art Day in Miami, the event promoted by AMACI (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums) with the aim of enhancing contemporary Italian art through extraordinary open
ings and events of museums and galleries.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, introduced by the Director of the Institute Stefano Cerrato, was characterized by the speeches of the Consul General of Italy in Miami, Michele Mistò and the Honorable Andrea Di Giuseppe, deputy elected in the North and Central America Division and President of the Permanent Committee on International Trade of the Chamber of Deputies.
The exhibition brings together thirteen excellent master craftsmen, who dialogue with the work of the famous Italian artist Alighiero Boetti, exploring the boundary between contemporary art and craftsmanship.
